Szenen einer Landnahme. 20 Jahre Verkündigungssendungen im Privatfernsehen

Abstract

Der gemeinsame Auftritt der katholischen Rundfunk-Beauftragten für die öffentlich-rechtlichen und privaten Fernsehsender bei der Präsentation kirchlicher Fernsehsendungen auf dem Katholikentag 2004 in Ulm war ein Zeichen der Normalität, die 20 Jahre nach Einführung des Privatfunks in Deutschland heute beide Systeme auszeichnet. Die innerkirchliche Beziehung zwischen den Parteigängern des öffentlich-rechtlichen und des privaten Rundfunks war nicht immer so entkrampft. Während man sich in ZDF und ARD mit Gottesdienstübertragungen und dem "Wort zum Sonntag" auf bewährte Programme konzentrierte, mussten die Beauftragten für die privaten TV-Sender Neuland betreten. Der Beitrag zeigt im Rückblick, dass ihr Weg einer Landnahme gleicht - reich an Entbehrungen, aber auch an Erfolgen.

Joachim Opahle: Episodes of Gaining Ground. Twenty Years of Religious Programmes in Private 1V

The common presentation of religious programmes by the Catholic representatives at public and private broadcasting stations during the Catholics Day 2004 in the city of Ulm demonstrated the "normal relationship" which 20 years after the introduction of the dual broadcasting system in Germany is existing between the stations of both systems. Due to partisanship, in the past the relationship between the Catholic representatives for public and commercial broacasting had not always been without tensions. While those in charge of public TV concentrated on successful programmes of transmitting Church services and the religious sunday meditation "Wort zum Sonntag", the new representatives at commercial TV had to enter new territories. This article shows that their way resembles a period of gaining ground: full of obstacles but also of success in media pastoral for people distant to churches.
