Befreiende Kommunikation

Abstract

Die Evangelisierung ist ein Kommunikationsprozeß der Frohen Botschaft von der
Befreiung, die Christus uns bringt: Das Evangelium ist die frohe Botschaft vom
Heil für jeden Menschen und für die ganze menschliche Gesellschaft, vom Heil, das offenbar gemacht werden muß und bereits jetzt auf Erden begonnen hat, auch wenn es nur jenseits der Grenzen des gegenwärtigen Lebens seine volle Erfüllung finden kann. Im Rahmen dieses Prinzips kann man sagen, daß der, "der an der Vermenschlichung mitwirkt, bereits evangelisiert", unter der Voraussetzung, daß "Christus den Menschen im Vollsinn offenbar macht" (Evangelii Nuntiandi, Nr. 22). Based on the Gospel, communication has to transmit the message of salvation, thus freeing man from repressive situations. Part of the Good News is to make living conditions more human. Evangelisation has to incarnate this message into the historical process of Iiberation. Service for the poor and oppressed is of special importance. In order to make communication a Eherating force it is not sufficient to talk about the Gospel message. We must work towards creating conditions for such communication. Thus, communication has to create awareness, to see, judge and work towards freedom from repression at all Ievels. Group media, with its horizontal dimension, seems to be better suited to conditions in Latin America
than vertically operating mass media.
